The withered fig tree

Scriptures to declare outloud

Re-post from Lisa, Saturday 10-09-10

Psalm 92:1,2  "It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night." Terence and Sherry I declare to you Gods love is a banner over you: "Beloved of God."   I anounce the Father's faithfullness to fullfill his promises to you. It is a fact that Jesus took your infirmities and diseases, carried your pains, sorrows, and sins and carried them to the cross. They were laid on Him by the whip with the stripes on His back as proof.   Therefore You are healed by His stripes. ( Is. 53: 4,5). I bless your spirit to receive His word of promise. You are made one with Jesus and the Father. His life flows in you. His annointing breaks every yoke. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you and gives life to your mortal body and destroys the cancer cells. (Rom. 8:11).

Just as Jesus cursed the fig tree and it withered and died, in the name of Jesus I curse the cancer cells in your body and command them to wither and die. I curse the cancer DNA and RNA so you can not replicate or grow. I cut you off your blood supply with the sword of the Spirit so you will starve. I call you to dry up like the leaves  on the trees in the fall and fall off Terences body which is God's temple.
Lord you are the God of new beginnings and you make all things new, I ask you to give Terence a brand new prostate and restore health to all the tissues damaged by it and the chemotherapy by your Word - your testimony, which is our testimony, by the blood of Jesus, and power of Holy Spirit so that all glory and honor goes to you. In Jesus name. Amen

first chemo and our prolamation

Terence made it through the night with NO nausea and minimal aches. Yesterday he was really tired and slept. He also started hallucinating (he was aware they were hallucinations)
Today, he's resting next to the fire place trying to overcome nausea and extreme fatigue.

This is our prayer and proclamation:
(please join us in it):
"Terence hopes (his expectations are in) in the LORD-
  His strength will be renewed,
Terence will soar on wings like eagles through chemo therapy,
He will run and not grow weary,
and he will walk and not be faint"
(Isa 40:31) AMEN! :D
P.S.  (Please ignore the dates on the right: they were from last year: I haven't had time to get in there and change them :)

Tonight marks the end of the fast

Thank you to all who have been praying and interceding for Terence!  At this point we are waiting on the Lord to see if there's any further action we are to take, or if we are finished.  If anyone gets any direction please feel free to share with us!

Resting

Dated Friday, Oct. 15th
Having completed 4 days of the fast and now moving into day 5, The over-arching theme that I have felt so far is "Peace."
In the first couple of days, prayers that have gone out are: speaking praises to God and the general prayers for strength, courage, and faith to be over Terence, Sherry, and kids.  No hard core intercession.

In approaching the fast I was expecting to have times of rigorous, battle it out, long, extended intercession over Terence.  And although Terence has been on my mind hourly, throughout the last 4 days,  I have not felt lead to procede with prayers in such a manner. Therefore...

Some observations:
1. Peace is the opposite of war.
2. Did we fast to fight for Terence, or is the fight already done?  Was it completed in 6 weeks?
3. 7th day is the day of rest Ex. 20:8, 7th year is the year of rest for the land Lev. 25:3-4.  So is the 7th week of this fast a week of rest and peace in the spirit realm?

Psalm 103

I received this passage this morning and wanted to share with you and Terence and Sherry. It is Psalms 103: 1-5.

Psalm 103 (New International Version)

  1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.  2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
3 who forgives all your sins
       and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

It was encouraging as the Holy Spirit made me declare it for Terence; knowing that all Terence inmost being praise the Lord holy name. All these cancerous cells bow before the Lord our Healer and praise His holy name. Talk about repentance and conversion of these cells!! The Lord our God is good and faithful to accomplish what His word says.

Week 7 begins today

Today begins the 7th week of prayer and fasting for Terence.  Seven is the number of completion and we sense God is completing his work of healing in Terence.

It is interesting I received an email invitation to a convergence of people this last weekend to celebrate and gather together in the presence of the Lord.  The event was called "10:10 Surge," and it was put on by a church up in Marysville, WA, in response to a move of the Holy Spirit in conjunction with this time.  They sensed we are shifting into a new season or surge of life.  It confirms what I've been seeing and hearing from other respected leaders that we have come into a new place and season.

Let's worship the Lord with a thankful heart this week that we are receiving what he has given us freely through His gift of grace.

Sunday 10-10-10

Is. 59:1    Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.

Is 58: 6-7  Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter...
Jesus said to Peter," feed my sheep."  As you continue to feed the Lord's sheep in your faithfullness to him and as a demonstration of your faith,  your light will break forth like the dawn and your healing will quikly appear; Your righteousess will go before you and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.  (Is. 58:8)

Psalm 144     Praise be to the Lord my (Terence & Sherry) Rock who trains my (your) hands for war, my (your) fingers for battle. He is my (your) loving God and my fortress, my (your)stronghold and my (your) deliverer, my (your) shield, in whom I (Terence & Sherry) take refuge, who subdues peoples under me (Terence & Sherry). O Lord, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him? Man is like a breath his days are like a fleeting shadow. Part your heavens, O Lord, and come down, touch the mountains, so that they smoke. Send forth lightning and scatter the enemies, shoot your arrows and rout them. Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me (Terence and Sherry) and rescue me (them)from the mighty waters, from the hands of foreigners (cancer) whose mouths are full of lies, ( because Jesus already bore his diseases) whose right hands are deceitful. I (Terenceand Sherry) will sing a new song to you, O God on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you; to the One who gives VICTORY to kings, who delivers his servant David (Terence) from the deadly sword.

Remembering

Lately I've felt strongly it is important to remember the testimonies of God - what he has done and what he is doing right now.

After Israel was released from slavery in Egypt they waundered through the desert and God did marvellous miracles, taking care of them.  But they quickly forgot these things and got discouraged and negative and they were destroyed in the desert.  But the second generation, God directed to set up memorial stones at the Jordan River as a reminder to remember and retell the mighty acts of God to the generations to come.

I find it significant that this is the main event that transitioned Israel from wandering in the desert to possessing their inheritance in the Promised Land.  The Lord clearly showed them how to position their focus in order to successfully take their inheritance.

Revelation 19:10 - The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
When rehearse what God has done, it releases a supernatural power for that very thing to be repeated.

The key to staying encouraged everyday is putting our attention on what God has done and is doing, not on what hasn't happened.  What we put our attention on is going to manifest.  When focus on what hasn't happened then we begin to get discouraged.  The enemy tries to distract us by getting us to focus on what hasn't happened because then we become immobilized and begin to create high and lofty thoughts that can end up spinning out of control.

We need to remind ourselves of how he's healed us and delivered us, how he's provided for us in hard financial times, how he's protected us from the snare of the enemy, and how he's come through for us in different seasons.  God is faithful to keep his promises and will not abandon us.

One good place to start is to learn from the testimonies of miracles in the Bible.  I've also found many healing testimonies on church websites and even surfing the internet.  As we listen to these testimonies, especially those where the Lord has healed cancer, lets keep them in the forefront of our minds while we pray for Terence.  Let's say, "Do it again, God!"

Week 6 begins today

And we have another three people covering this week in prayer and fasting.  We have not tried to "make" this happen, but every single week so far there have been exactly three people that have committed to pray.  Most people have selected or volunteered for the week they felt they were suppose to cover.  I love how God works using themes and numbers!

Psalm 126

A few more updates in prayer. Ps 126 has been a focus in prayer. The verses speak of the Israelites return from captivity. Captivity for Terrence and Sherrry has been in this illness. The first verse speaks of when they were released they felt like men who dream. As I looked this verse up, the concordance said a better translation was the captivity release was like  "men restored to health" This verse was one to claim health and healing for Terrence and to believe that again their "mouths will be filled with laughter. And our tongues with joyful shouting." We will claim as the psalmist did that "The Lord has done great things for us. The Lord has done great things for us; WE are glad.

vs 4 a prayer to restore of the captivites
As the streams in the South ( the river dries up in the summer and floods its banks in the rainy season)
Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.
He who goes to and fro weeping, carring his bag of seed,
shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. ( A harvest is coming even when hope was lost.)

Our hope is strong and we will continue to believe for full restoration from captivity
With our love and His greater love for you.

Some Sweet Promises

Matthew 18:18-20
I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for it will be done for you by Father in heaven.  For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.

Ecclesiastes. 4:12
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.  A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Deuteronomy 32:30
One can chase a thousand.  Two can put ten thousand to flight.

Scriptures to declare for this week

Multiple times we have heard the verse, "Not by might not by power but my Spirit says the Lord."  Zec 6:6. Then Dan felt strongly that the verse.  "The joy of the Lord is your strength"  was pivotal not only phsically but mentally and emotionally. He  is our stake in the ground our hope and our grasp on life itself and his joy is our gift but surely sustains us.

Then we heard, "Some men boast in chariots some in horses but we will boast in the name of our God." Ps 20:7 This is a powerful battle but truely He is in control. We are boasting in Him and His great love for you. We see God recieving glory in your journey. We can't despise the small steps.
With our love and prayers for you. Hope you are resting well,
Dan and Rosanne

The Works of God Made Manifest in Him

Today is a day of stronger fasting for me. I asked God for
a Scripture concerning Terrance.  I opened to John 9:3.
"Neither this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works
of God should be made manifest in him."

This spoke to my heart that sin is not a factor in this
illness (that is, we need not let fears or suspicions about
something in Terrance that is hindering the healing, but
rather, can pray in complete faith shouting "grace" to
the mountain of his cancer).  And, if God had anything
at all to do with him getting cancer, it was only because
His ultimate plan for Terrance is for him to be
healed "that the works of God should be made manifest in
him."

This increased my faith for this time of warfare prayer!

Love,

Evangelist Dea Warford
